We are really happy to annouce our "Blog of the week"; its Indian Vegetarian Kitchen

Indian Vegetarian Kitchen is a great blog featuring a wide variety of recipes; from simple everyday cooking to desserts, chats, North Indian as well as some international dishes.

The blog features a large collection of delicious, healthy and easy to make recipes including entrees, appetizers and desserts. The blog is maintained by Mahimaa Ramkumar who is currently located in United States. She originally comes from Chennai, India.

Her love for cooking made her experiment different recipes and she wanted to share her favorite recipes with the world. Hence, Mahimaa started blogging in September 2007 and in a very short period of time has achieved great success with her blog. Indian Vegetarian Kitchen has been featured on Sify.com and has won awards in many blog contests. One of Mahimaa's recipes was published in a daily Tamil newspaper in India.

Her favorite cuisine is Indian eventhough she enjoys Italian, Thai and American food. Some of her favorite recipes are Paneer butter masala, Malai Kofta, Baingan Bhartha, Malaysian noodles and vegetable pulao. You can find all these recipes on her blog.

When we asked her what the most flattering comment she has received on her blog was, she said that her friends feel she should start a restaurant! Well Mahima, we agree!! The dishes look so delicious in the pictures, we are sure people would love to try them out at the restaurant. Other than recipes, she has also received specific compliments on the photography.

In her spare time, she likes to read books, listen to music, watch Food Network and of course cook! She says "The difference between a good dish and a great dish is the amount of passion you put into it. So cook away with love!"
